龍佃成立於1985年，初創期只專於龍蝦養殖，當時全世界養龍蝦的公司只有臺灣，且只有3、4家，龍佃是其中一家，排名第二大養殖廠。在養龍蝦的期間，我們發現到龍蝦有一品種，稱為錦龍蝦，成長很快，其100公克的苗，一年可長1公斤，經董事長戴昆財先生查探，得知菲律賓錦龍蝦數量很多，因此到菲律賓求發展。
